How to get Gold and qualify for the Kangaroo and Olympiad
This video explains everything you need to know about the JMC boundaries and the follow on rounds.
How are the boundaries set?
From 2022 the grade boundaries for the JMC are set so that 50% of students taking the competition receive Gold, Silver and Bronze in the ratio of 3:2:1. Before that only 40% of students received certificates. The YouTube video here explains all!
*Why where the 2020 boundaries so high?
The 2020 JMC happened at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic – this video explains how and why the boundaries were so different as a result.
