GCSE + IGCSE Live Classes

Live GCSE + IGCSE Intermediate Maths Challenge Preparation Course (ages 14-16)

10 live lessons. The hardest topics. Original problems you won’t find anywhere else.

This Easter revision course is designed for students sitting the Edexcel IGCSE Mathematics (9-1) Higher paper who want to sharpen their skills on the topics that make the difference between a grade 6 and a grade 9.

Every lesson is problem-based: you’ll be working through carefully chosen questions that build in difficulty, with live guidance from Kevin. No lectures, no textbook exercises — just the kind of challenging problems that develop real exam confidence.

When and How

  • Week 1: Monday 30 March – Friday 3 April
  • Week 2: Monday 6 April – Friday 10 April
  • Time: 1:00 pm every day
  • Duration: 45 minutes per lesson
  • Platform: Live on Zoom
  • Price: £499 for the full 10-lesson course

After each lesson you’ll receive a copy of everything covered and a recording of the class, so you can focus on thinking during the lesson rather than note-taking, and revisit anything you want to look at again.

What We Cover

Each lesson targets a topic that regularly appears in the harder questions on the Edexcel IGCSE Higher paper. Over the two weeks we will cover:

Indices

Coordinate Geometry

Probability

Functions

Arithmetic Sequences

Surds

Quadratics in Context & Inequalities

Scale Factors in 2D and 3D

Vectors

Completing the Square & Applications

These topics are chosen based on what comes up most frequently in the grade 7–9 questions across recent papers. All problems are original — written specifically for this course. We reserve the right to adjust the exact topic order and combination of topics across lessons.

Is This Course Right for You?

This course is a good fit if you:

  • Are sitting the Edexcel IGCSE Mathematics (9-1) Higher paper in summer 2026
  • Have covered most of the syllabus already and want to practise the harder material
  • Are aiming for grades 7, 8, or 9
  • Want to build confidence on the topics that carry the most marks in the exam

Studying for a different GCSE specification? Much of the content will still be relevant — the core problem-solving skills are the same across exam boards — though some topics (such as differentiation) are specific to the IGCSE. Feel free to get in touch if you’re unsure.

This course is not designed for students who are just starting the GCSE/IGCSE syllabus or who need help with the foundations — it’s aimed at those who are ready to tackle the hardest material.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I sign up for individual lessons rather than the whole course?

No — the course is offered as a complete 10-lesson package. However, recordings are provided after every lesson, so if you do need to miss a day you won’t miss out on the content.

Will recordings be available?

Yes. After each lesson you’ll receive a recording of the class along with a copy of all the problems and solutions covered.

Are these lessons suitable for other GCSE specifications (not Edexcel IGCSE). Is this course still useful?

Most of the topics we cover appear on all GCSE Higher papers, so the majority of the course will be relevant. The main difference is that our course includes differentiation, which is part of the IGCSE but not the standard GCSE.

What level of maths is needed before starting this course?

This is a revision course aimed at students targeting grades 7–9. Your child should have covered most of the GCSE/IGCSE syllabus already. If they’re still working through the basics or are aiming for grades 4–6, this course is likely to be too advanced.

What do we need to access the lessons?

A computer or tablet with Zoom, something to write with, and paper. We recommend a quiet space where they can concentrate. Cameras on is encouraged but not required.
