The UKMT Intermediate Maths Challenge (Intermediate Mathematical Challenge) took place on
Wednesday 29th January 2025.
Note: Due to the timings of the Chinese New Year meaning many students could not sit the IMC on the 29th, a different paper was used in Asia a few days before.
Students usually take this paper in years 9, 10 and 11 in England, S3 and S4 in Scotland or Years 10, 11 and 12 in Northern Ireland, but the competition is open to entrants from younger year groups too.
Many schools overseas also enter students, but entrants must be of an equivalent age and be students at official UKMT test centres – applications from private individuals or tutors is not allowed.
