UKMT BMO Round 1 2025
The UKMT BMO Rounds 1 & 2 will take place on
BMO1 : Wednesday 19th November 2025
BMO2 : Wednesday 21st January 2026
Schools who have a timezone that is either UTC+5 or more (5 or more hours ahead of the UK) will sit the challenge on the following day.
Students usually take this paper in years 12 and 13 in England, S5 or S6 in Scotland or Years 13 and 14 in Northern Ireland, but the competition is open to entrants from younger year groups too.
Many schools overseas also enter students, but entrants must be of an equivalent age and be students at official UKMT test centres – applications from private individuals or tutors is not allowed.
